Description

Rooster Hot Socks - a revolution in warmth - a 0.5mm titanium layer that is both comfortable and warm. Wear them under your normal sailing boots for extra warmth - remember layers are better than thickness! Titanium neoprene acts in a similar way to a survival blanket, the titanium impregnated reflective layer is sandwiched between the neoprene and the interior nylon lining, this lining reflects radiated heat back to the body.

Laundry instructions

We recommend hand washing in warm soapy water and allowing to air dry.

Features
  • Thin neoprene socks with 0.5mm Titanium impregnated reflective layer
  • Sailing Survival Blanket – Provide additional warmth by reflecting heat back to the body
  • Layer up with PolyPro Socks

Thank you for solving my kit problem. I wore your neoprene socks for the Llanberis Swim Run race on Saturday. 16km of swimming and running up and down steep hills. The socks performed brilliantly.(much better than me) no blisters and warm feet on the swims.

Great for sailing in the winter (obvs) but for me their real strength is for winter cycling, toasty toes and no need to stuff silver foil into your cycling shoes) - next I need to try them for running on wet trails too. Highly recommended for on and off the water!

Hot socks would not sail with out them , all the family have them for sailing

Great piece of kit, especially in winter when I am prone to cold feet! However they could do with some reinforcement in the heel and toe area as there are already signs of my toes going through them despite only having them for 2 months. But definitely recommended as they are very effective in keeping my feet warm!

Best ever. Reckon you could wear them walking, kayaking, sailing indeed generally almost any outdoor activity and never have cold feet again. Beautifully thin and warm.

Hot socks. Nice and stretchy and easy to get on. Add a remarkable warmth to standard neoprene dinghy boots considering they are so thin. Actually make dinghy boots easier to get on. Recommended for the icebreaker season.

Work very well to keep my feet warm, add minimal bulk inside an already close fitting boot, exceeded my expectations for warmth. I have worn mine extensively for sailing and coaching most weekends through the last 3 winters. They are wearing thin around toes and heel and the odd hole has appeared, but I won't be changing them for at least another winter, just makes them easier to rinse...

Brilliant. A great boost to dinghy boots to keep those toes snung. Helpful Rooster Team gave good advice in selecting these. Jon M

I suffer with poor circulation so I always have cold feet. On recommendation from Rooster staff I tried a pair of hot socks over some Polypro socks. WOW! My feet were warmer while I was sailing than when I was sat in the car wearing my warm clothes. I am thinking about getting a second pair to wear under my work boots on building sites during the winter.

My daughter has really struggled to find anything which keeps her feet warm in her drysuit. We've tried Polypro socks, warm woollen walking socks but we have now found the solution - Hot Socks. She wore them for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I was amazed at how warm her feet were when she got undressed. Thank you!

I bought a pair of hot socks being inspired by the Rooster quality in the past. How wrong i was to imagine they would match up to previous purchases. I have worn them twice and they already have a hole in each sock. And no I do not have long toe nails but in the area of the big toe they are both going into holes. I will not be recommending them to my friends.

As a new member of Team Rooster (check out our blog, George and Sophie, RS200 and Firefly Team Racing) I have been fortunate enough to try out a wide range of the amazing Rooster kit. I love these hot socks. I do suffer from cold toes which has caused some issues this winter. Since having the Hot Socks I have really noticed the difference and my feet are no longer chilly but nice and cosy! They are completely amazing and any sailor should have a pair of these!
  • George Yeoman, Guildford, 02 April 2013
Tried these for the first time this weekend and having been someone who has never been overly bothered about the warmth of my feet, I was shocked at the huge difference they made! Having warm feet also meant I was a bit more nimble on my feet.
  • Ben Daigneault, Eastbourne, 28 July 2011
A great piece of sailing kit, especially in winter, but after 3 months of use the lining has come away inside. A shame as I would expect them to last longer than that!
  • Alan Ritchie, Belvedere, 31 May 2010
Fantastically comfy and warm but don't last more than 10 sails before heels and toes are worn - the lining has come away from the outer. Shames as they are really comfy.

last winter i had to come in from sailing because my feet were so cold so for christmas i asked for some hot socks and when i went out for the boxing day bottle my feet were hot n toasty and very comfortable and you can still move your feet about!!!
  • Mike Edwards, Nantwich, 23 February 2009
The hot socks are my third purchase on the 'Hot' range and I was not disappointed. Not only wonderfully warm, but comfortable and they provide extra padding whilst sitting out.
  • Chris Turner, Bromley, 11 January 2009
Used for the first time: -5 degrees with ice in the boat and on the water. My feet were warmer than they have ever been during winter sailing. Great product!
