I spent the spring coaching high school sailing and purchased this jacket as a backup to a Gill offshore. I also like to have extra gear in case a parent wants to help on the water. The first time I wore the jacket it was 40 (degrees F), blowing 15 knots and raining. I stayed dry and warm throughout the day. By the end of cold weather this jacket had become my mainstay and I was loaning out my Gill. Great piece of gear at a reasonable price!

I bought this jacket at the RYA Dinghy Show this year having been impressed that the quality was equivalent to a product twice the price. I have owned lots of Rooster dinghy kit before but never anything from their 'offshore/coastal' range. Although I have worn the jacket often since purchase, this week was the first chance I had to try it out on the water at the RYA Youth Nationals. Being a Race Officer, having the right kit is essential. This jacket not only kept me warm and dry in some trying conditions but it also gave me plenty of pockets in the right places for all my equipment. The high quality also meant that I wasn't afraid of getting it caught or snagged at a critical moment and could quickly put it on or throw it off in the changing conditions.
