Tough weekend at Irish RS Easterns
Last weekend was a tough weekend for us at the Irish Easterns with 26 competitive RS400s competing but it was a learning experience especially for the new Crew Donal!
Day one was a nice force 4 with rolling waves. We were reasonably happy with scoring a 6th, 10th and 9th. There were incidences that could have been avoided during the day so we knew we had the potential!
Day 2 we were not happy with our performance as all of our results were outside the top ten. The wind was slightly lighter and we struggled to accelerate the boat, particularly off the start line and we also struggled on the downwind legs. We definitely have some homework to do in this area, particularly with the tuning of the boat.
All that being said we enjoyed the weekend and are looking forward to the next event in mid-June.
Also a small announcement in that Sean will be moving to the UK in August and will be joining the 400 fleet there!
