Tera Start of Season Championships
Last weekend was the Rs Tera Start of season championships, as I am planning on doing the Rs Tera worlds I thought it would be a good opportunity to get some time racing in the boat. With the Tera pro rig packed, (I used to sail sport) I set off to Northampton with Christine and James Hollis who were taking me to the event because my Dad was on duty at the club and could not drop me off. When I arrived solo everyone there was very friendly and helpful even though I wasn’t a Tera sailor. In the end I won six races out of six and a clear winner but at this event it wasn’t about the winning it was about making new friends and enjoying the racing. This may be down to the lunch time break or the lack of general recalls but personally I think it comes down to the laid back atmosphere and enjoyment you see on the sailors faces. I would just like add that because I was struggling to get to grips with my existing toestraps I asked Steve what he could offer as an alternative and now I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of my 'Rooster Tera toestraps' which will hopefully be on sale soon.
