Rooster Carbon Projects

By Steve Cockerill 30th September 2020
We are excited by a recent carbon project: We were asked if we could reduce the windage in the slot of a two person two sail dinghy - The Graduate. The class love to use a flyaway jibstick since it increases the speed of deployment and reduces the training time required to use a self deployed one. Screen Shot 2014-12-11 at 08.26.48 The problem is that a fly away jibsitck is normally a large pole that lives in the slot. Anything that restricts the wind in the slot is really not fast. So we developed a tapered jibstick. We think it will catch on. If you have a carbon project or even a wish for a carbon tapered jib stick, or perhaps you want to buy a new epoxy Graduate - just call the office. +44(0)1243 389997
