I have just finished two open meetings (Fishers Green and my home club, Frensham pond), where Hamish and I came seventh in both events; a huge improvement over last year. Winter training has paid off and all those long car journeys in the dark and cold days have been worth it. Really looking forward to a top summer of sailing in the sun and good winds (including Lake Garda where the worlds and promotional worlds will be).
It was also great to meet the chairman of the RYA at the Frensham open, who gave out the prizes and I found out that he is an ex-Cadet sailor.
There was loads of Rooster gear being worn by Cadets everywhere we went. Everybody loves the feel of it and how warm it keeps you. My favourite at the moment is my lovely Thermaflex Top
; it's FAB.
We have also just put the finishing touches to the boat top box, with Dad, it's been ROOSTERED, see pictures below!
We're off to Brightlingsea next weekend for the second qualifier in the tides (and usually cold east wind)...............wonder how I will do against my lucky number?
