How windy is it.........
The weather has been messing up training this winter. I've had three weekends cancelled and on the last two weekends we only managed one day out on the water. This weekend we had a cracking day training at Burnham on Crouch with a good 20-25mph breeze on the Saturday and only a little bit of swimming involved. Thank you soooooooooo much Rooster for my Wet Socks and Pro Aquafleece Beanie (amongst other things), that have kept me snug so far this winter.
There was no sailing Sunday as the wind was too strong; some would say absolutely howling and others say dogs off chains weather! One of the boats at the top of the slipway was picked up off it's trailer and blown 20 feet down onto the beach by a huge gust. It was very sad to see, however once we recovered the boat there was no damage at all - a massive relief! No photos as dad's iPhone wasn't working.
Not much sailing now for a month, so I am sure by January I will be fed up and desperate to get back into Executrix to continue training so as to be in the best shape possible for the 2016 racing season. Still the time off gives my dad time to work on all the repairs.................thanks dad.
I wonder if Santa will bring anything Rooster!
