Feva Nationals
We have just arrived home from the RS Feva Nationals in Weymouth, having come second overall.
During the qualifiers the wind was very light, particularly on the first day, however we managed to achieve 10th place overall.
After the qualifiers, the wind began to pick up and we managed to achieve 3 great results with two second-places and a ninth. Unfortunately, the wind swung unexpectedly during the course of the final race and we rounded the top mark in thirty-fifth place. Despite this we managed to finish the race in a pleasing sixteenth place.
Overnight, we were sat in second place, however it was very close cut with only 2 points sitting between second and fifth place. Freddie Peters and Louis Johnson, on the other hand, were sat very comfortably in first place with just six points. This meant we needed two good results on the last day in order to secure second place.
Luckily the conditions were perfect for us with gusts of 24 knots, and this led to us coming 2nd and 3rd meaning we easily held on to our second place overall, all in all a fantastic regatta!
Our new lightweight Thermaflex Longjohns were ideal for the conditions over the event and Jamie loved his new Black Diamond Buoyancy Aid.
