Trade Administrator & Customer Service Team Member

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond directly to customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online chat.
- Assist customers with product recommendations, providing in-depth knowledge based on both personal experience and technical understanding.
- Efficiently manage and process sales orders using our information systems.
- Monitor the trade inbox and process manual orders promptly.
- Set up and maintain trade accounts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Communicate regularly and clearly with customers regarding back orders and pre-orders.
- Ensure held orders are released in a timely manner.
- Support the warehouse and dispatch team with incoming goods and customer returns.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a fun, positive, and proactive working environment.
Required Skills:
- A genuine passion for watersports—whether sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, wild swimming, or other activities on the water. We want someone who actively participates and enjoys the sports we cater to.
- A positive attitude, with the ability to handle customer queries professionally and courteously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the enthusiasm to connect with customers about our products.
- Proficiency in IT, with a good understanding of sales order processing systems.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in task execution.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experiences to enhance the team dynamic.
- Self-motivated, with exceptional time management and task prioritisation skills.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in a customer service or trade administration role.
- Active involvement in watersports, ideally in dinghy sailing or similar activities.
- Familiarity with technical watersports apparel and chandlery.
- Knowledge of the Rooster brand and our product range.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and bank holidays for events and shows.
- Full UK driving license.
