Position: Full-time 

Salary: From £23,500 dependant on age and experience

Rooster Sailing Ltd is a leading manufacturer of technical clothing and parts in the marine industry. We are passionate about supporting watersports enthusiasts and providing high-quality gear to sailors and small boat enthusiasts worldwide. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Respond directly to customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online chat. 
  • Assist customers with product recommendations, providing in-depth knowledge based on both personal experience and technical understanding. 
  • Efficiently manage and process sales orders using our information systems. 
  • Monitor the trade inbox and process manual orders promptly. 
  • Set up and maintain trade accounts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. 
  • Communicate regularly and clearly with customers regarding back orders and pre-orders. 
  • Ensure held orders are released in a timely manner. 
  • Support the warehouse and dispatch team with incoming goods and customer returns. 
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a fun, positive, and proactive working environment. 
Required Skills: 
  • A genuine passion for watersports—whether sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, wild swimming, or other activities on the water. We want someone who actively participates and enjoys the sports we cater to. 
  • A positive attitude, with the ability to handle customer queries professionally and courteously. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the enthusiasm to connect with customers about our products. 
  • Proficiency in IT, with a good understanding of sales order processing systems. 
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in task execution. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experiences to enhance the team dynamic. 
  • Self-motivated, with exceptional time management and task prioritisation skills. 
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
Desirable Skills: 
  • Previous experience in a customer service or trade administration role. 
  • Active involvement in watersports, ideally in dinghy sailing or similar activities. 
  • Familiarity with technical watersports apparel and chandlery. 
  • Knowledge of the Rooster brand and our product range. 
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and bank holidays for events and shows. 
  • Full UK driving license.
