Steve, well done on your "single handed" sailing; I lost the use of my left hand in a motorbike accident when I was 20 but still manage to sail and race a flying fifteen!

Looking hard at RS100 to replace my Solo. While carbon is good in the short term you do have to look after it - we had a lot of problems with bike frames and forks - scratch them and you could get a ctastrophic failure!
How does the RPX compare?

I couldnt help but 100% agree with Tony Roberts comment that I think would be a fantastic idea, and a solution to the whole bouyancy aid and harness rubbing, as well as bulkness. Would be FANTASTIC
But again it is just an idea

Have you considered integrating a buoyancy aid into the design?

This could create a very streamlined dual purpose 'thing' and would be genuinely revolutionary. I think this could really make a difference, increasing overall mobility. I am sure that if all the straps had foam filling, you could easily create a 50N or above buoyancy aid with much less overall bulk than a standard combination of harness and vest.

Just an idea. Best regards.

For me, a track is a must-have thing, but I can't see why this rules out a carbon mast. The RS300 has a carbon mast with an ally track glued or rivetted on (sorry, not sure which), and this works very nicely. The track is readily available off the shelf.

It would be a shame to spoil the credentials of the boat by putting a tin rig on it just because of this issue.

Hi Peter,
we have two working samples on loan at the moment. One to a top lady 470 crew from UK - and one to a Musto Skiff Sailor. Both are giving us some more valuable feedback - so that when we press go - we know they will be the best. More info once it is in production will be posted here.

Have you considered a sleeved, zipped sail on an untracked mast? It works well for smaller boats such as Byte and Comet Extra, but I'm not sure if it will work for bigger sails.
