Rooster Carbon Extensions

The Concept behind Rooster Sailing Carbon Tiller Extension:

The tiller extension has always been the one thing the sailor is holding all the time – well hopefully not when falling off the trapeze wire! It is also the one thing that sailors tend to take out their aggression on when things don’t go according to plan. So Rooster Sailing has been working to manufacture one to rely on in a crises.

25mm section -legths from 0.1m - 2.5m

Principally we have introduced a larger diameter section than normal to give extra strength and added lots of twill around the outside of the stick for bash resistance and section integrity. If you have ever tried to bend a plastic cup - you will find the it breaks first not because of the weakness of the plastic, but due to the weakness of the integrity of the section, i.e. it flattens and then bends. The twill (v.v. expensive) ensures that the section remains in tact and offers added bash resistance. Now tested to almost destruction - high performance sailors are looking for a stick they can rely on are contacting Rooster Sailing.

Topper Extension -

22mm Section - sections from 0.1m to 2.2m

We have used a rotateable extension joint by adapting the RWO Omniflex joint so that you do not have to let go of your grip at any time through the tack. Each extension come supplied with the RWO adaptor to fit onto your tiller. As you can see we have 3 sections in the smaller range and one round section for the longer extensions. Currently Ben Ainslie and Robert Scheidt are using Rooster Sailing Extensions and Tillers (Ben won the Europeans and Robert won Kiel Week) These guys don't use our kit as a favour - but because its the best!

13 mm section - lengths from 0.1 -1.5m
